Production Dates : JAN 04, 2021 – MAY 15, 2023 VIN Range 1 : Begin : 2F9LT15C9NA105003 End : 2F9BC13S2PA105045 Not sequential Description of Defect : Description of the Defect : On L’Air Camper 1300 and 4500 RVs produced between 2021 through 2023 and equipped with a Suburban SDS2 cooktop, the aluminum tubes that connect the gas valves to the cooktop burners could crack. If this happens, the tubes could leak propane when the top burner gas valve is opened to use the appliance. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : We are working with Suburban and our distributor, GLP Canada, to provide customers with repair options most convenient for them. Local customers may choose to bring their L’Air Camper to our L’Air Camper manufacturing facility in Waterloo for us to conduct the repair. Customers for whom this is not a viable option may bring their L’Air Camper to any authorized RV repair centre in Canada or the US. Please note: it is imperative that the repair be executed by an authorized RV service technician. With proper documentation, Suburban will reimburse owners for the retail cost of an SDS2 cooktop if it was replaced prior to the issuing of this recall. Imagine Fiberglass Products Inc. has decided that a safety defect, exists in certain 2021-2023 L’Air Trillium Heritage, and Lion travel trailers equipped with certain SuburbanSDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktop, Model # 3032AST, installed in your L’Air Camper, VIN #########. This is to inform you that your vehicle may contain a defect that could affect the safety of a person. As such, we advise you to refrain from operating the cooktop until the recall repairs are completed. Suburban will provide a remedy at no cost. Issue: On L’Air Camper Trillium Heritage, and Lion 1300 and 4500 RVs produced between 2021 through 2023 equipped with a Suburban SDS2 cooktop, the aluminum tubes that connect the gas valves to the cooktop burners could crack. If this happens, the tubes could leak propane when the top burner gas valve is opened to use the appliance. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion if ignited which, increases the risk of fire and person injury. Corrective Actions: We are working with Suburban and our distributor, GLP Canada, to provide install a regulator support bracket. This repair will take approximately XX minutes/hours. The repair will be done free of charge. Local customers may choose to bring their L’Air Camper to our L’Air Camper manufacturing facility in Waterloo for us to conduct the repair. Customers for whom this is not a viable option may bring their L’Air Camper to any authorized RV repair center in Imagine Fiberglass Products Inc. dba L’air Camper Co. 560 Weber Street North, Waterloo, ON N2L 5C6 Canada or the US.
