Description of the Cause : Operator installed the incorrect label Identification of Any Warning that can Occur : No warning Involved Components : Component Name 1 : NR Component Description : NR Component Part Number : NR Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23V-637 Page 3 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 Supplier Identification : Component Manufacturer Name : NR Address : NR NR Country : NR Chronology : A customer called in to advise the hitch load label on their unit as incorrect. After an investigation, the customer unit was found to be part of a population previously identified in an internal quality campaign. Further review of units produced after the internal campaign were verified to be correct. The Product Safety Committee met on September 7, 2023 and decided to conduct a voluntary recall. Winnebago is aware of 1 reported incident related to the recall condition, first becoming aware on or about May 2023. Of this incident, we are aware of 0 injuries. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Winnebago will coordinate sending the correct labels for installation on the affected units. Reimbursement requests will follow the general reimbursement plan on file with NHTSA. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The remedy component will be the correct called out label as originally specified. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The recall condition was corrected in production through the action of an internal quality campaign and operator training.
