SAFETY RECALL – STOP SALE NOTIFICATION.
2024 AURORA ART26BHS TRAVEL TRAILERS
Forest River has decided that a safety defect exists in certain 2024 Aurora ART26BHS Travel Trailer Recreational Vehicles. Forest River is recalling the defective model(s) to ensure the safety of our future retail consumers and your dealership. Forest River is issuing a Stop Sale Notice effective immediately.
Please access your Home Page on Dealer Connect to verify if your Dealership has units in stock that are subject to this recall. Enter the Service Campaign number referenced above in the “Campaign Search” field, click on the “Campaign ID Number”. Next, select “MY VINS”. Not all Dealers have units in stock that are affected by this recall.
DEFECT/NONCOMPLIANCE:
The breakaway switch may not be correctly wired to constant hot. This condition may lead to the failure of the brake-away switch to activate in an emergency.
EVALUATION OF RISK:
This condition may lead to the failure of the brake-away switch to activate in an emergency. This condition may increase the risk of a crash.
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
The remedy for this recall is under development. A second notice will be issued once the remedy is available.

During a routine Corporate Standards Audit during the week of May 3, 2024, it was discovered that an employee was not hooking the brake-away switch wire to the constant (battery) power side of the battery disconnect switch. On May 7, 2024, the manufacturing plant found that it had shipped three vehicles suspected to have this condition and contacted Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”). OCC opened a research item. On May 10, 2024, Forest Rivers Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall. Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Forest River will provide all parts and labor free of charge to Consumers
and Dealers. An authorized Forest River dealer will need to perform the remedy to wire the breakaway switch properly.

How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component :
12V Wiring
The breakaway switch will now be wired properly. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The employee was trained correctly and began fixing all vehicles on the manufacturing line and in the yard the same date, May 3, 2024. Recall Schedule :
Description of Recall Schedule : Forest River has the utmost urgency in our recalls. Forest River will send
suspected VIN numbers to our third party vendor that is licensed to pull data on the current owner of the vehicles (as needed) once a formal NHTSA I.D. is provided. Forest River intends on pushing the mailing out as soon as NHTSA provides any correction(s) and an Acknowledgement Letter.
