Missing Fuse May Allow Supply Wires to Overheat
A missing fuse cannot prevent the supply wire from overheating during a short circuit, increasing the risk of fire.

Summary
Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling certain 2024 Interstate motorhomes. The 12-volt in-line fuse that provides back-up power to the water heater/furnace system was not installed.
Remedy
Dealers will install a 12-volt fuse, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to begin August 8, 2024. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at support@airstream.com, 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-611 ext. 7401.

6/6/2024 – The safety committee reviews all known data and determines a recall is warranted. Airstream is unaware of any warranty or injury claims due to this non-compliance.

Description of Remedy Program : Airstream will provide it’s dealers with the parts and procedure to remedy
these units affected by the recall. This will be done at no cost to the owner. Reimbursement will follow the general reimbursement policy that is on file with NHTSA. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component :
Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The 12V fuse will be in place, 18″ from the back-up power supply. The issue was corrected in production on June 6, 2024. Recall Schedule :
Description of Recall Schedule : Airstream has the utmost urgency in notifying owners about a recall that
affects their vehicle. Letters will be sent out once all pertinent information has been gathered.
