Federal Cert Label May Have Incorrect Information
The missing and incorrect information may result in the incorrect tires being installed, or the vehicle being overloaded, both of which can increase the risk of a crash.

Summary
Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corp. (Electra Meccanica) is recalling certain 2018 Solo vehicles. The Federal Certification labels may be missing the tire and rear wheel information and the maximum allowable cargo information. Also, the maximum combined occupant and cargo weight may be incorrectly stated higher than the actual maximum weight allows.
Remedy
Electra Meccanica will notify owners, and dealers will replace the Federal Certification label, free of charge. The recall began April 8, 2019. Owners may contact Electra Meccanica customer service at 1-674-872-4747. Electra Meccanica’s number for this recall is 19SC01.

Dear Meccanica 2018 SOLO Owner:
This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Meccanica has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2018 SOLO’s.
Affected vehicles have compliance labels with missing and erroneous information. Our records indicate that you currently own an affected vehicle. Meccanica has a new label available for your vehicle. Please make an appointment with your Meccanica Dealer to have the label replaced as soon as possible.
| What is the problem? | Compliance labels affixed to certain MY 18 SOLO vehicles located on the door sill of the left-hand door have been found to be missing required information and to have incorrect information. The missing and incorrect information may result in the incorrect tires being installed, or the vehicle being overloaded, both of which increases the risk of a crash. |
| What will Meccanica do? | Meccanica will replace the compliance label at no cost to you.
Please be advised that only the cost to perform the servicing or repairs related to this campaign will be covered by Meccanica |
| What should I do? | Please contact your Meccanica Dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment to have the label replaced. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this will cause. |
| How long will it take? | The repair will take approximately 30 minutes. However, depending on the Dealer’s work schedule, it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for a longer period. Please discuss scheduling details with your Meccanica Dealer. |
