Product Change Notice for SAF INTEGRAL™ Disc Brake Compact Bearing System
SAF-HOLLAND has developed an improved version of the 88 x 120 bearing system (Figure 1).
The improvements to the compact bearing system include:
- Improved material with optimized heat treatment
- An additional tapered roller in each bearing series
- Greater distance between roller brackets
- Improved profiling of raceways
Depending on operating conditions, these improvements will lengthen the life of the bearing by an average of 60%.
In an effort to fulfill our customers’ high expectations of sustained performance and longevity, SAF INTEGRAL disc brake axles are now being fitted with this new 88 x 120 compact bearing system.
This change will occur starting in May 2013.
There will be no part number changes and the warranty is not affected.
